From Carmen's foster: Carmen - very sweet dog, always gentle and respectful in the house, just wants to be pet all day! Totally housebroken and easy to take care of. Can be a little wary of doorways, but she's happy to be picked up and walked through. She is good with other dogs and cats, and Ive taken her to the dog park a few times. She was fine and knows how to meet and greet but didnt really play with the other dogs. She was more interested in getting the people to pet her! Shes super lovey. ************************************** Update 8/26 ... Carmen is the sweetest girl. She is the type of beagle that makes people love beagles. She weighs 21 lbs. Her babies are weaned. She walks well on leash and potties nicely. House trained and will scratch at door to go out. She crates nicely, but prefers to be with her people at night. She is quiet unless there is a commotion outdoors, and she has a mellow temperament. An excellent dog for a young family, or a couple/individual looking for some sweet doggie love. Vet estimates about 4 years old. She is so sweet and good with cats, dogs, and kids! She is heartworm positive, has had her 30 days of doxycycline, so will just need to stay on heartworm prevention for life..should test negative w/in the year ! Carmen was pulled from a small rural shelter very, very pregnant. We rushed her to the vet who estimated 5-6 puppies. Carmen gave birth to 9 beautiful and healthy babies.
