American Staffordshire Terrier - Smithers - Large - Adult - Male
Update: Smithers is now neutered and has received his vaccinations. He weighs 60 lbs and is estimated to be 4 years old. He is heartworm negative! ******************************************************** Smithers is an American staffordshire or American bulldog, aproximately 65 lbs, probably somewhere between 2 and 5- family friendly, likes other dogs.. does not want to get to or chase the barn cat but he hasn't been up close to him yet, loves to be around people, doesn't like to be left alone but behaves well and is not destructive when left alone. He likes to chew on rawhide, boiled bones, antlers. Has a healthy appetite and is content to eat dry kibble (I have mixed in a little canned here and there to give him a treat and a few extra calories) He is very friendly with all people he has met including children. My 11 year old daughter can handle him on and off leash. He knows sit but is usually too excited to do it, so some basic obedience classes would do him well. I work with so many dogs, many of which are extremely aggressive and Smithers is a sweetheart of sweethearts, not a mean bone in his body and he really wants to please.
